ENDURES FOREVER.
( PSALM 136:1 *NIV )
When we count all of our blessings we start to realize
how wonderful our Heavenly Father has been to us. For He not
only helps us in time of need, He blesses us abundantly as well.
Therefore we should; GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, CALL
ON HIS NAME; MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE NATIONS WHAT
HE HAS DONE. SING TO HIM, SING PRAISE TO HIM; TELL
OF HIS WONDERFUL ACTS. ( CHRONICLES 16:8-9 )
Further, why not start each day by counting your many
blessings, and sharing with others what God has done for you.
For King David did, for he wrote; I WILL GIVE YOU THANKS IN
THE GREAT ASSEMBLY; AMONG THRONGS OF PEOPLE I
WILL PRAISE YOU. ( PSALM 35:18 )
Be thankful for all that God has done for you, and
thank Him in your prayers! For then He will smile down on you,
like a proud Father would on an obedient child!
Now please know that: I THANK MY GOD EVERY TIME I
REMEMBER YOU. IN ALL MY PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU,
I ALWAYS PRAY WITH JOY. Amen.
( PHILIPPIANS 1:3-4 )
Becoming a Christian is only the beginning of a wonderful new life. God does not usually take people to heaven right after they accept Christ and become a Christian. He has work for us to do here on earth.
Being “born-again” is like coming out of an egg. Long before we were born, even before we were conceived in the womb of our mother, God had already thought of us. All along God has had a special purpose for us to do on earth and in eternity. But we will never find or do that wonderful purpose unless we grow as a Christian. Simply coming out of an egg is not enough…we need to fly!
There is a story about a group of barnyard geese..and every Sunday the geese would gather in the barnyard near the feeding box. One of them, a “preaching geese” would try to stand up on top of the fence and preach to the geese about the glories of goosedom. He would tell how wonderful it was to be a goose, rather than a chicken or turkey. He would remind them of their great heritage and tell them of the wonderful opportunities in the future…Sometimes, while he was preaching a group of wild geese, they would fly overhead in a beautiful V-formation--- thousands of feet in the air. When that happened, all the geese would excitedly look and say to one another, “that’s who we really are! We are not bound to spend our lives in this smelling barnyard. Our destiny is to fly!” But then the wild geese would disappear from the sight, only the sound of their honking would be heard across the horizon. ..then the barnyard geese would look around at their comfortable surroundings, sigh & return to the mud & dirt of the barn. They never did fly.!
Sadly, there are some people in the kingdom of God who remain in the barnyard, rather than spread their wings & learn to fly…
God has a purpose for US…
Salvation--- in its highest meaning --- is the process of becoming who we really are in God’s mind.
Conversion--- being born again--- is an event. It only happens once. It is the experience of moving from darkness to light, from death to life. On the other hand, salvation is a process.. it begins at conversion and continues until we are fully changed into the image of Jesus Christ….
Mostly of us here in this group knows all of these things… but let’s take a look of ourselves right now… are we now like those geese who prefer to fly or the other one whose contented to be a benchwarmer? Or if we’re now flying how do we treat our brethren who’s their not aware of God’s purpose for them?
Come let’s share to everyone how God transform our lives, perhaps this will be his will to brings back those brethren who still being relax while listening to His teaching….
To God be the Glory…. Amen..
