Nevertheless i tell you the truth. John 16:7

The Bible teaches that throughout the ages, God has related to man in different ways at different times. (Heb 1:1)
When he originally created Adam and Eve, He entered into a loving relationship with them and talking with God and receiving all they needed from Him, in an age of grace.
Even when they had sinned, and man`s sins had corrupted the whole earth, God did not count sin against man (Romans 5:13), even though there were times when he had to cut out sin and preserve the righteous. (Gen 6:5 8:19, 19:1-29)
The time came though, when God had to bring in the Old Testament law to limit sin.
The law was described by Paul (2 Corinthians 3:7,9)
God`s chosen people the Jews, could only approach God through sacrifices and a priesthood, and there were severe penalties for breaking the law God gave.

When Christ came, He brought in a new era, although the law didn`t pass away (Matt 5:17,18) those that put Faith in Jesus were no longer under the law. They entered into a new age of Grace.

Having tried to live mans way all my life, i found that i was always getting kicked back, no matter how hard i tried i would be stabbed in the back or lied to. I was losing faith in people, my first marriage ended in a break up. Losing contact with my son and daughter broke my heart. This was in the middle of a recession in the late 1980`s, in which i had my home repossessed. I was left homeless, with no family and friends i lost faith with ( they new what my wife was doing but never had the courage to tell me). I went from pillar to post in a day dream, not knowing what to do or where to go, i was drinking and using marijuana to help me sleep and numb my mind. I then got in with a bad group who were involved with violent behaviour, being paid to hurt people. I used this to vent my built up anger that i had with society. I met my present wife around this period, she got me away from these people by letting me move into her dads home. Sometime later we had two boys, as they grew up in our neighbourhood they met and befriended twin boys. We met the parents and became friends, after a few weeks we were talking one evening, i was telling them about my interest in the crusades, and that i was studying them and the Knights Templar's. This opened the door for them to tell me they were Christians, one thing led to another and i was saved. Thank you Father, Amen
